Visually, the PVE 2019 features a graphic split into two large zones, yet separates them by a “distracting” break similar to what is found on the VE8. With six zones across the face of the PVE 2019 blocker, the goaltender has options to create their own unique look.

The PVE 2019 blocker is built off of the base of the VE8 blocker, however there are new updates to the palm and sidewall. First, the board is based off of the VE8 to give the goalie a lighter, balanced feel on the back of the hand. Taken from the SLR2 palm, the PVE 2019 palm has a wraparound style on the index finger. This new addition allows for the goaltender to get a better anatomical style grip on the palm, without the worry of the stitching catching against the stick. This new feature will give greater durability over time.

Due to the full bindingless face, the PVE 2019 blocker has a very large presentation to the player. The HD board on the inside is coupled with Carbon reinforcements to help create a light build and increase protection. That Carbon material carries over to the sidewall to give the goalie the protection and confidence they need when squeezing the hand tight against the body. The sidewall is now reinforced with a HD foam thumb rail to provide extra protection and provide better coverage when sealing the body in the butterfly.
