New for 2020, Bauer goalie has continued on with the highly successful line and brought out the Bauer GSX Intermediate Goalie Leg Pads. The Bauer GSX will feature some key revisions and tweaks from previous lines to further improve the Supreme line.

Starting off with the internal build of the Bauer GSX, a dynamic flex core with an above and below knee flex point makes up the overall build. Further down, a connect flex 115 degree boot angle allows the goaltender to comfortably get into their stance in any situation during play.

Flipping around to the inner edge of the Bauer GSX Leg Pads, you will notice the square knee block design that allows the goaltender to get a consistent landing spot when transitioning into the butterfly.

Turning over to the back of the Bauer GSX, you will notice the simplified strapping system compared to previous models. This TUNE FIT CONNECT strapping is made up of minimal Velcro attachment points which allows a goaltender to dial in their exact fit and feel they want on the ice. The GSX is outfitted with an added thigh protector which provides extra protection to the top of a goaltender’s knee for odd bounces but can also be easily removed and adjusted.

Along the inner leg channel, you will find a butterfly assist calf pillow that helps provide higher stability when in a butterfly position while making it more comfortable. Finally, down at the toe section of the pad, you will notice the offset stretch toe which fully replaces the need of skate lace toe ties. The stretch toe system allows for a much wider range of motion which eases stress on the goaltender’s knees and is much easier to put on than any other toe attachment system.

Compared to the Bauer GSX, the Bauer 3S features higher grade materials and construction, specifically the Supreme 3S is outfitted with a higher refined strapping system, CORTECH ST technology, and a different internal core that provides rigidity to the pad.

Brand new for 2020, Bauer has continued their revolutionary line and brought out the new Bauer GSX Intermediate Goalie Glove. The GSX Glove will feature brand new designs and construction to make it the most broken-in and comfortable glove Bauer has ever created.

The GSX Glove starts off with a crisp digitally printed graphic to increase a clean surface area. With the reduction of stitches and graphic, the weight is also reduced and gives the glove a lightweight feel on the hand.

Starting with the cuff, the GSX will feature a solid 1-piece cuff to help any negative flex in the cuff and wrist, giving the goalie a clean blocking surface when they need to squeeze in tight. For the closure of the glove, the GSX will feature a 75-degree style closure which will give the goalie the ability to catch the pucks above or past the fingertips.

Moving to the back of the glove, the GSX has redesigned padding to help create strategic cuts to make the glove closure feel more natural. This Free Flex backside starts across the back of the fingertips and moves all the way up through the wrist which will give the goalie full range of movement to get their hand in position to make key saves. Bauer has equipped the inside of this glove with an Air Mesh liner to keep this glove light weight and comfortable.

Bauer’s GSX glove features a thinned out Double T-Spine which adds more lacing in to the pocket of the glove. With more lace being added, it reduces the amount of plastics and materials to help retain pucks that enter the pocket. This Double T-Spine has a beautiful skate lace pocket to retain pucks and keep a soft catch over the lifespan of the glove.

Brand new for 2020, Bauer has continued their revolutionary line and brought out the new Bauer GSX Intermediate Goalie Blocker. The GSX Blocker will feature brand new designs and construction to make it the most comfortable blocker Bauer has ever created.

The GSX blocker starts off with a crisp digitally printed graphic to increase blocking surface area. With the reduction of stitches and graphic, the weight is also reduced and gives the blocker a lightweight feel on the back of the hand.

On the board itself, a Dual Density one-piece blocker board gives off optimal rebounds that can be easily guided toward the corners of the rink. Flipping around to the side, the same Dual Density board continues and keeps this blocker consistent with its reactivity no matter where the puck hits.

Moving through to the wrist area, the GSX Blocker will feature am easily adjustable Velcro closure that can be adjusted on the fly for any setting the goaltender prefers. Internally, Bauer has equipped this blocker with Nash liner which provides comfortability and durability through high levels of use.
