New for 2021, Bauer Goalie has again pushed the boundaries of innovation and technology that goes into a Goalie Pad. The all-new Bauer Vapor Hyperlite Pro Senior Goalie Leg Pad builds off of the highly successful Bauer 2X Pro to bring every goalie a lightweight pad built for performance.

Starting off with the face of the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite, the graphic is a simple yet very personable design that each goalie will be able to get behind and create a unique look. Throughout the pad you will see large zones that run in different directions through the pad that can be combined and tweaked to find the exact look each goalie chooses to achieve. At the knee, a slash-like design with three lines adds a perfect accent to a simplistic pad and acts a perfect visual focal point.

Moving on to the build of the Vapor Hyperlite, Bauer has gone with an upgraded version of their C.O.R Tech technology with C.O.R Tech Plus for the material. This material is a highly durable skin that helps create better rebound that give the goaltender time to react and recover. Starting off with the graphic of the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite Glove, the design is a simple yet highly customizable graphic that contains several zones that flow through the pad with a slash like design that runs diagonally through the upper thumb, down to the cuff of the glove. This slash design acts as a visual focal point that any goaltender can base their set off of or blend in with the rest of the graphic.

Moving on to the build of the Vapor Hyperlite, a one piece cuff design gives a naturally large appearance for better visual presentation to the shooter. On the pocket and closure, a 60 degree closure angle allows the goaltender’s hand to sit higher in the glove and provide a full hand closure that feels better than ever. A double-T pocket design creates a wider pocket as opposed to a single-T as seen on the 2X Pro Glove which works much better together with the visual presentation and technology of the glove to create a better experience.

Starting off with the face of the Bauer Vapor Hyperlite Blocker, the graphic is made to mimic the leg pads with several zones running through the pad to create a simple yet highly customizable pad to achieve specific looks. Running diagonally through the center of the blocker is a slash-like patterns that acts as the focal point of the design and can be utilized to create the perfect accent to a great graphic.

Moving on to the board of the Hyperlite blocker, Bauer has made some slight changes by adding a Rebound Boost Core which, with its self-explanatory name, is aimed to boost rebounds out further and with more accuracy so goaltender can redirect pucks in to safe and intended areas. Along with RBC, Curv Composite makes its return to the blocker, adding the protection a goaltender needs with the reactivity perks of previous Bauer blockers.

Flipping over to the palm side of the blocker, more changes can be seen directly in the palm with the addition of a 14.5” Connekt+ Palm which is built to give the goaltender a better feel when handling their stick, borrowing tech from their renowned player gloves where the feel of the stick is a top-level priority. Inside on the fingers you can see the adjustable finger protection made with PORON that can be adjusted for comfort when handling the stick and helps prevent pucks from riding up the stick into the goaltenders finger.

Finally, down at the cuff, an asymmetrical aerolite cuff keeps the entire unit at a very low weight overall while allowing the goaltender the physical freedom to reach out toward pucks for saves in any situation.
