Rigid Hip Padding: For added impact protection, the hips are reinforced with a rigid, molded core layered with high-density foams.
HD Padded Tailbone: Segmented high-density foams reinforce the spine, complemented by plush mesh padding that extends protection through the tailbone and lower thigh without compromising comfort.
Thigh & Groin Protection
Wide, Coverage-Optimized Thigh Profile: Compared to their 11 inch cut Junior Select counterpart, the Ion Junior pants maximize coverage with a wider fit that flares from the waist down.
Dual-Layered Inner Thigh Padding: Lightweight SportMesh construction adds an extra layer of padding along the inner thigh seams without restricting movement.

Breathable SportMesh Lining: Vaughn’s SportMesh lining promotes airflow and quick drying, delivering a cool, plush feel against base layers.
Adaptable Fit w/ Lace-Up Groin: A lace-up front waist allows for a highly adjustable fit, accommodating both tucked and untucked chest protectors while maintaining full coverage.
SportMesh Padded Inner Belt: Carried over from the SLR4 pants, a plush SportMesh inner belt provides a secure waist fit and widens through the thighs to maintain flexibility.
