New for the 2023 season are the CCM JetSpeed FT6 Shoulder Pads. CCM has revamped their protective line and designed them to offer maximum breathability in a highly mobile, lightweight yet reliable protective package. Players will feel lighter and cooler than ever without sacrificing protection.

The biggest change for the FT6 shoulder pads over previous models will be the all-new Aer-Tec thermoregulation system. This enhances air circulation, sweat evaporation and regulation of body heat. All of this helps to allow the body’s core temperature to cool quicker, helping players to keep cool and make faster, better decisions when it counts.

Moving right into the construction of the Jetspeed FT6 Shoulder Pads, CCM is using an amplified mobility design with molded PE foams. There will also be max ventilation for cooling to help keep your body and gear light throughout the game. This low-profile fit is going to give a close to the body feel and provide great freedom of movement. This is paired up with ultra-light Ufoam constructed shoulder caps that provide solid protection in a lightweight package.

Moving down the arm to the biceps, CCM used PE molded caps with length adjustment for a custom fit on the arm. In the torso, CCM incorporated more of their molded PE foams with large ventilation ports. An Aer-Tec suspension system will provide optimal ventilation in the torso and back as well.

The Jetspeed FT6 Shoulder Pads also feature hybrid shield sternum & spine protection with ventilated ports and HDPE plastics offer high caliber protection. Up at the top, there is floating clavicle coverage with PE plastic guards that will not weigh you down.

For the Liner of the Jetspeed FT6 Shoulder Pads, CCM is going with a unique liner-free design that allows you to stay dry by not absorbing sweat and weighing you down. This is combined with the Aer-Tec suspended mesh liner to create max ventilation for cooling and evaporation.

The construction of the CCM FT6 Shin Guards has kept to its anatomical narrow fit design. Added this year is the multiple ventilation ports in the shin cap and shin liner for maximum airflow and a FLOFOAM knee donut contributes to comfort and pro level protection. This design offers a connected fit that does not feel bulky and offers lightweight mobile protection optimized for elite level of play. It achieves this thanks to the shell construction and the new Aer-Tec suspension system mesh liner with polygiene and odor crunch

Moving to the knees and shin caps of the CCM FT6 Shin Guards, CCM used optimized anatomical JDP kneecaps. This improved kneecap flex point offers more freedom of movement and helps to disperse impact force away from the knee. It will also offer a removable/adjustable flofoam knee comfort pad. This is paired up with a floating compress-molded EVA foam calf guards which offer lightweight but tough protection and have abrasion resistance at the bottom to help with skate tongues.

Molded premium EVA foams that are connected to the knee liner will offer a close to the body feel with high level protection. To hold everything in place, CCM used an upper lock strap with a stretchable comfort cushion and an adjustable calf strap for a customized fit.

The biggest change for the FT6 elbow pads over previous models will be the all-new Aer-Tec thermoregulation system. This enhances air circulation, sweat evaporation and regulation of body heat. All of this helps to allow the body’s core temperature to cool quicker, helping players to keep cool and make faster, better decisions when it counts.

Moving right into the construction process, the CCM Jetspeed FT6 Elbow Pads use a 3-piece flexmotion construction. This improved construction better follows the elbow’s natural movements, allowing for easier movement when stick handling, passing, and shooting. The elite level forearm is constructed of compress-molded HD foam which provides the highest level of protection while the Aer-Tec suspension system provides ventilation and aids airflow.

The bicep area was constructed with a floating bicep pad and PE inserts. This is high caliber coverage around the bicep area and premium sublimated lining for elite comfort.

For the elbow cap, the Jetspeed FT6 Elbow Pads will have a molded PE cap with JDP construction and an exposed EVA foam cover. The JDP cap is designed to disperse impact force away from the elbow joint and the EVA foam cover adds even more protection.

CCM also incorporated a newly redesigned strapping system on the JetSpeed FT6 Elbow Pads. This strapping features a refined Y-shaped middle lock strap and a nylon forearm strap that allows for a better fit without compromising movement.
