In the crease, your blocker is an essential tool for helping keep pucks below the butterfly, deflecting rebounds away from quick shooters, and protecting areas of the hand exposed by normal movements. And while a blocker may be familiar to anyone on the ice, what makes a blocker Iconik is known to goalies-only. As such, Brian’s has put their passion for stopping pucks into every surface of the Iconik Pro blocker. Unique to the Iconik Series, a new high density sidewall design provides the side profile coverage needed to control stray pucks and prevent serious injury. Designed to absorb and deaden the puck’s impact, high density impact foams line the internally laced sidewall helping make rebounds more predictable. This blocker’s HD sidewall also features an easily removable thumb pillow for optional added cushioning. Also new for the Iconik blocker, a deeper thumb notch that reduces rubbing and eases paddle movement with padded index fingers, fixed to the finger stalls, for added paddle-down protection.

When you have 40-50 lbs of gear to manage, every bit of weight savings can contribute to quicker, more precise moves. In designing the Iconik Pro blocker, Brian’s has implemented performance technologies designed to reduce weight while enhancing durability. An ultra-light BRI-CORE triaxle carbon-Fiber composite reinforced blocker board reduces this blocker’s rotational inertia, or resistance to rotate about its axis (your wrist). In practice, this makes for a more nimble blocker that feels less inhibiting and more responsive to precision moves. Not only reducing weight, the BRI-CORE technology blocker board provides a rigid core that maintains its flared shape and rebound much better than plastic blocker boards. Featuring a thinner board profile and neutral hand position, the Iconik Pro blocker feels lighter and more responsive compared to the previous generation Optik 3 Pro and G-Netik Pro V blockers.

The performance of any gear can only be as good as its fit, and while preferences vary, nothing can distract you like a piece of equipment slipping or coming too loose. Optional for custom Iconik gloves and blockers, but highly encouraged to goalies unfamiliar with Brian’s gloves, the ATOP Smart Dial Strapping system. A quick, easy, and more precise fitment solution, Brians’ ATOP Smart Dial Strapping System replaces the standard nylon webbing straps or Velcro straps found on most gloves and blockers. Featuring a padded, comfort-mesh wrist strap and palm liner backing an, Iconik fit can be dialed in one click at a time. Traditional Velcro straps or nylon webbing straps can wear out quickly and even when fully tightened, can slowly lose tension with each move. As an alternative, the ATOP system tightens small, high-strength cables that secure the wrist and palm in place, click by click, for a perfect fit that won't slip during a game or wear out after a heavy season.
