CCM's most advanced design and performance technologies, available in a goalie mask for the first time! Introducing, the CCM Axis XF Goalie Mask! First introduced to hockey by CCM with their Super Tacks X helmet, the Axis XF is the first goalie mask to implement a full, NEST Tech liner. Composed of open, 3D printed lattice structures that vary in geometry and density across the liner, the NEST Tech production process optimizes impact protection down to the millimeter. An evolution in user protection and comfort, the NEST Tech liner provides an elite level of impact protection that conforms to the wearer’s head. Compared to commonly used impact foams, the NEST Tech liner gives this mask an unmatched, softer, more breathable, custom fit feeling, while providing an elite level of protection.

Familiar to CCM gear, a triple density foam chin cup lined with D3O® Smart Material, secures the Axis XF in place. D3O® has a unique molecular structure that makes it strain-rate sensitive, meaning the stronger the impact, the more the molecules lock together, working to absorb and dissipate the impact energy. While, under normal conditions, D3O® Smart Material remains soft and pliable, making it an excellent shock absorbing material to protect key areas without adding excess bulk.

New for the Axis XF, CCM’s Exoshell Carbon Fiber Composite Shell is constructed from a new, highly resilient carbon fiber composite design that gives this mask a striking appearance and an ultralight feel. CCM’s new Exoshell not only gives this mask a more modern look, but has been shaped to optimize deflection points and greatly improve ventilation over the previous Axis shell. Working in conjunction with the NEST Tech liner’s open lattice architecture, CCM’s AER-TEC Ventilation System features an AER-TEC mesh sweatband and enlarged vent holes, strategically placed to maximize airflow around the head and throughout the entire liner.
