Handcrafted by Vaughn for their respective domestic markets, the new SLR4 Pro Carbon Chest & Arm Protector delivers pro-spec protection, mobility, and comfort. Protecting the sternum, HD foams comprise the sternum pad, reinforced with composite layering. Molded, High-Density foam shoulder caps and shoulder cap extensions protect the shoulders; with large, HD foam, carbon reinforced shoulder floaters to protect the collar bones and maximize coverage.

New, for added durability, the arm floaters are sewn down to the arms; featuring molded plastic arm caps, implemented for wrap-around coverage. The SLR4 Pro Carbon Chest & Arm Protector offers enhanced bicep and forearm protection with increased padding, extended behind and down the side of the bicep.

To ensure the SLR4 Pro Carbon Chest & Arm Protector stays in place and stays comfortable, Vaughn has implemented a lightweight, breathable mesh to line the arms. Highly adjustable, this chest protector features a dual back strapping system and new, floating style elbow pads. For goalies who prefer to wear suspenders, a small suspender retention strap has been affixed to each arm floater. Further improving fit, each forearm tapers down to an adjustable wrist strap. This design not only offers a better fit for the individual goalie, but reduces binding between the chest protector arms and glove/blocker cuffs.
